  1. Congrats on 100 followers :)

I'm currently reading Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce, which I think you will LOVE. It's so good. I've got a bad case of book excitement :)

  2. Jenny - While I am glad you're enjoying Sisters Red...I am really apprehensive about that book! See, I kinda loathe Little Red Ridding Hood. I was terrified of the story as a kid and now take serious issues with its portrayal of wolves (don't get me started on mythology's impact on conservation issues - I need to save it for my dissertation) But... if you really are loving it... maybe the wolf somehow comes out as a good guy... hmm.

  3. It's loosly based on Little Red Riding Hood, I think. I'm not that familiar with anything more than the short version of the story, but I'm just reading it as a werewolf book. Seriously, Scarlett and Rosie are amazingly strong characters, and it's kind of reminding me of Buffy - lots of action, great dialogue, no shortage of bad guys to kill. I'll let you know my final verdict when I'm finished!

  4. Loosely based? Sounds very promising. But comparing it to Buffy? That's just playing dirty! Now I think I have to read it! I'm a sucker for female leads that can kick serious ass. ;-)

  5. You know a book is good when you finish it in one day!

The covers of those books look great and certainly look like books I'd pick up to read :)

  10. I think I may have mentioned before that I was interested in Ondine by Ebony Mckenna, but after reading your review it is definitely going on the buy sooner rather then later side of my wish list. Thanks.
