In My Mailbox (Apr. 18th, 2010)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren (inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie) and explores the content of your mailbox!

I got a lot of great books this week - I'm afraid I let myself go at Foyles and Forbidden Planet!  First off, I got two lovely signed editions this week:

  • The Devil You Know by Mike Carey - This is supposed to be a brilliant book and has been on wishlist for a while.  Seeing a signed copy was a great excuse to get it!
  • Stolen by Kelley Armstrong - Apparently having 3 signed books by her wasn't enough for me... I was just proud of myself for not buying her entire series signed!

And the rest:
  • Beastly by Alex Flinn - So glad to get a cover without the annoying "read it before you see it" faux!stickers.
  • Beating Heart by A.M. Jenkins - Hadn't heard of this book before I found it on the shelves at Foyles.  The great quote by Melissa Marr on the cover made me decide to take a risk!
  • Angel by Cliff McNish
  • Split by Stefan Petrucha - A lovely US hardcover import... thank you Foyles!
  • The Secret Life of Trees: How They Live and Why They Matter by Colin Trudge
So that was my week!  How was yours? ♥

  1. Great selection of books - I'm reading Stolen at the moment & really enjoying it so far! How lucky to find signed books in the store, I never think to look for things like that but perhaps I need to in the future LOL. Hope you have a fab week :o)

  2. Nice swag this week! I'm hoping to be able to get around to reading all of Kelley's books in the near future Here's mine :)

  3. Both signed books are excellent. I love Mike Carey's Felix Castor series. I'm jealous you got a signed book! I live in the US so chances of every getting a signed anything from Mike Carey are slim but it is awesome that you could pick one up. Kelly Armstrong's book is good too. :)

  4. I loved Beastly and I hope you enjoy it too. Split and Beating Heart sound really interesting.

  5. I love Kelly Armstrong's books. Great books this week! :)
